Question 1

What is the difference between DEG and RAD modes?

Accepted Answer

DEG (Degrees) interprets angle values based on a 360° circle (e.g., sin(30°) = 0.5 and cos(90°) = 0). RAD (Radians) interprets angles based on 2π radians per circle, which is the standard in calculus and advanced physics (e.g., sin(π/6) = 0.5). You can toggle between DEG and RAD at any time using the radio button on the top left of the keypad.

Question 2

Does this scientific calculator follow BODMAS / PEMDAS?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The calculator adheres strictly to standard mathematical order of operations: Parentheses first, Exponents & Roots next, Multiplication & Division from left to right, followed by Addition & Subtraction. Nested parentheses like ((2+3)*4)/(2^2) are fully supported.

Question 3

How do the memory functions (M+, M-, MR, MC) work?

Accepted Answer

M+ adds the current result to stored memory. M- subtracts the current result from memory. MR (Memory Recall) inserts the stored memory value into your active expression. MC (Memory Clear) resets stored memory back to 0. A visible [M] indicator appears on the display whenever memory is active.

Question 4

Can I use my physical computer keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Full keyboard support is enabled. Use numbers 0–9, + - * /, ^ for exponents, ! for factorial, Enter for equals, Backspace to delete, and Escape for All Clear (AC). You can also type 's' for sin, 'c' for cos, 't' for tan, 'p' for π, and 'e' for Euler's number.

Question 5

Does the calculator use JavaScript eval()?

Accepted Answer

No. Zobinzo uses a secure, custom-engineered mathematical expression parser and tokenizer with strict syntax validation, preventing security vulnerabilities and ensuring mathematically verified floating-point precision.

Question 6

What are the powers and root capabilities?

Accepted Answer

You can calculate square (x²), cube (x³), arbitrary powers (xʸ), natural powers (eˣ), powers of 10 (10ˣ), square root (√x), cube root (³√x), and arbitrary y-th roots (ʸ√x).
